Sharm El Sheikh is the gateway to the exciting Red Sea on the Sinai Peninsula and its myriad pristine reefs. Diving is by boat day trips with the onsite dive centre and heading out to some of the best sites in the area.
Learning to Dive: Sharm El Sheikh is the ideal place to dip your fins into the water for the first time. There are a large number of safe and sheltered sites that offer superb visibility to appreciate the fabulous marine life. Plentiful reefs sit in shallow water which are perfect for beginners. A full range of courses are offered by Dive Wimbledon and qualifying dives are undertaken at sites situated just a short boat ride away. For the qualified diver, Sharm El Sheikh’s many dive sites offer an abundance of reef marine life and an incredible diversity of corals, including impressive towers and pinnacles to explore.
There are some dramatic walls and drop-offs which are richly decorated with soft corals, sponges, gorgonians and fans with an abundant reef fish population and the chance to see reef sharks and dolphins. There are also famous wrecks to choose from like the Thistlegorm.
Situated in the heart of Na’ama Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, Sharm Dreams Resort is the ideal place for a sun drenched holiday. There's a great stretch of private beach, a relaxed pool scene and a tempting selection of restaurants and bars - this hotel really has something for everyone.
A choice of rooms and suites are available, including Queen Deluxe Rooms, Superior Pool View Rooms, Twin Deluxe Rooms, Superior Garden View Rooms and Junior Queen Suites. Accommodation is spacious and stylishly furnished. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi (extra charge), a safety deposit box, HD screen, hairdryer, ironing facilities, an electric kettle, minibar (extra charge) and tea and coffee amenities. Food and drink: Whether you’re looking for a leisurely meal or a quick bite to eat, this hotel has a variety of dining choices to suit all tastes.
Le Jardin is the main restaurant and offers delicious cold buffet of dishes with traditional Egyptian influences for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Casa Sharm restaurant offers a taste of Italy, dishing up a menu of familiar Italian favourites such as pizza, pastas and seafood risotto.
Tex Mex restaurant is a great place to enjoy some Mexican specialties including delicious nachos, quesadillas and grilled meats.
The Nook Cafe for lighter bites such as burgers with a variety of other menu options.
Caribi Bar to watch your favourite sports on the big screen whilst having a beer or two, enjoy a cocktail over a game of billiards or simply sit back and enjoy the live entertainment.
Entertainment and sports: There are a range of attractive outdoor pools and sunbeds for guests to enjoy, great for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. The stretch of private beach which is 600m form the hotel is perfect for sunbathing and cooling off in the shallow waters plus discovering beautiful marine life with the snorkeling off the beach. There are fitness facilities, racquetball courts and whirlpools, guests can enjoy lesiure time at the Health Club. Cleo Park – a popular waterpark with a range of slides, rides, eateries, bars and an ice-cream corner is situated near to the hotel.
Holiday price: £1369pp plus £260 for 5 days diving with UK owned Emperor Divers.
Deposit: £600 required with the balance due 12 weeks before departure. If signing up after this then full payment is required on booking. Payment can be made by BACS, over the phone or we you can pay the travel agents directly. The balance of the holiday can be paid by debit card or BACs.
Not included: visa entry into Egypt, kit hire, environmental/park fees, lunch & drinks on board the boat
The price depends on current flight costs and will go up as we get closer to departure including flights, taxes and transfers on an All Inclusive basis in a twin shared room. We have arranged this holiday through our trusted travel partners who are ATOL and CAA protected.
Diving Costs: The diving is being arranged through Emperor Divers who are located nearby. The cost of a 5 day dive package (10 dives) is £260, 4 (8 dives) is £208 and 6 day dive packages (12 dives) is £320 are available. This price includes guide, tank and weights. Full equipment can be rented in Egypt from 30 Euros a day. If you would prefer we can rent you the equipment for £15/day. For those completing the Open Water or Advanced courses with Dive Wimbledon the equipment is provided free of charge and we will be instructing the courses with a local guide accompanying us. It is possible to complete more dives per day or night dives so let us know if you are interested and we can quote you the prices. There is a 7 Euro government environmental fee pppd of diving, the Canyon & Blue Hole (Dahab) entrance fee per day is €13.00, Lunch & drinks on board per day € 7.50 or drinks only (mandatory) per day € 5.00, Thistlegorm lunch per trip €10.00, Recompression chamber donation (optional) per day €1. There is also free Nitrox for all those who are Nitrox certified but we need to book this before the holiday.
VISA: EU nationals travelling to Sharm can purchase a VISA from Sharm Airport on arrival for $25. If you would prefer to arrange a VISA before arrival this can be purchased from the Egyptian Consulate in London or via the new online service.
