Marsa Alam Holiday June 2008
We have just returned from a fantastic week in the lovely Tulip Resort in Marsa Alam, Egypt. Mona, Marc P, Marc S, Laura, Simon, Robyn, Natalie, Toni, Will, Rob, Sophie, Teresa and Andy all jetted off early on Wednesday morning to arrive at Marsa Alam airport which is in the middle of the desert!
Ten minutes later we arrived at the resort where we checked in and had our first group dinner of many! We began our diving on Thursday and had great visibility, we saw lots of lion fish, puffer fish, crocodile fish and much more!
On Friday Will and Teresa passed their Open Water Course with flying colours with Sophie!
The weekend saw Natalie, Andy, Will and Teresa complete their Advanced Open Water Course where we saw what happened to raw eggs at 29 metres....
The rest of the group went on a day trip to Abu Dabab where they were lucky enough to see Dennis the resident Dugong and turtles!
And during our trip, Marc P had his 100th dive off the beautiful Dolphin House Reef, congratulations!
On the last day, a few of the group headed off into the desert for a camel ride and an evening of star gazing.
Emperor divers were fantastic, the staff were very professional and made sure we had fun, whilst the hard-working boat staff made sure everything ran smoothly and we had everything we needed for some fantastic diving.
Well done to everyone who qualified on the holiday and thanks for all the great photos. Let's do another one soon!
